Keeping Your Windows Clean & Beautiful
Seasonal Clean Window Tips – Atlanta, Georgia
To prevent winter condensation:
Either warm the window surface or dry the inside air. Options to warm the window surface include:
- Opening drapes
- Blowing air across the window surface
- Replacing the window with a more efficient window
- Adding storm windows
- Raising the temperature inside the building
To reduce the relative humidity in the room, control or eliminate moisture sources. People are sensitive to low relative humidity, so in extremely cold weather, the only option to prevent condensation may be to warm the window surface.
To prevent summer window condensation:
Warm the inside surface of the window as a way to warm the outside surface. Raising the thermostat setting is about the only option. Exterior shutters, shades or even trees can help reduce summer condensation problems as well.
Remember windows look best if they are cleaned on a regular basis, at least twice a year on the inside and outside. Shine Bright Window Cleaning takes extra care and uses special techniques to keep your windows looking their absolute best. Window cleaners pose a threat to woodwork. We do not let them drip on the windowsill where they can harm the paint or varnish. You will never see us use a squeegee as all of our windows are hand washed. No dripping means no unnecessary harm to carpet, wood, or furniture.
